A good day for it...

Lately I have really been forced to stop up for a while and hence been given the opportunity to clear my thoughts. This weekend has been no exception. Pressing the pause button on life and laying focus on that which lays beneath the everyday surface of everything that races by us, and which we indeliberately become a part of, allows for very rich and clear lines of thoughts.

The thoughts themselves and the paths they take may not be easy to anticipate or control, but that is exactly what makes it so interesting, intriguing and fulfilling. This thought driven journey is not necessarily in the short run a pleasant one, but long term, although I can't say I have the proof of it, I would say it's a rewarding one.

Wandering the wide open plains with my father and his dogs today, all senses activated and just enough of a physical ordeal, really put me in that zone. What specifically crossed my mind, and what insights may have come to me are of less importance to anyone else but myself. What is more relevant perhaps is to be encouraged to do the same as me even though one may think one has no particular reason to do so. Although I really am not in a position to claim truths one way or the other on this subject, my belief is that only good things will eventually come out of it. Especially once you check back into the "racing" part of your life, and coming back to it with a much clearer mind and a more deliberate purpose.
